Will I be able to use all the facilities at both sites?

Yes, the Chard Premier Unlimited membership covers both 1610 Chard and Chard Leisure Centre including fitness classes, gym and use of the swimming pool.

How can I book activities once I'm a member?

Chard Premier Unlimited members can book activities up to 8 days in advanced. For 1610 Chard activites you can book through the 1610 Active app, via the website, by calling 01460 494020 or at reception. Activities for Freedom Leisure are bookable through the Freedom Leisure App, via the website, by calling 01460 315007 or by popping into reception.

Do I have to pay for parking when attending each centre?

Parking is free at 1610 Chard. For Chard Leisure Centre, yes, the car park is a Council owned car park for the town. Parking is currently 80p per hour between 8.00am – 6.00pm Monday to Saturday.

Do I need a gym induction to use the gym at both sites?

Everyone will need a short 15 minute induction to for your health and safety and for us to give you operational information for each centre. For brand new members, you will need to book an induction for both centres. All of our inductions are designed to give you the most out of our equipment and enhance your experience with us.

Are there lockers available?

Lockers at 1610 Chard use a padlock that you either bring with you or purchase at the centre. Lockers are available for £1 returnable (pool changing) or with a padlock that you either bring with you or purchase on site (dry changing) at Chard Leisure Centre.

Will I need a membership card for each site?

Yes, you’ll need a separate access card for both sites. These will be issued at reception of the relevant site.
