1610 Race Series

Take on the challenge of this years 1610 Race Series

Consisting of 10k races and a sprint triathlon across the counties of Somerset and Dorset.

“You are all so professional, thank you for putting on great races”

Mike, Bridgwater 10k Participant

The 1610 Race Series starts with a bang on Sunday 17 April 2016 with the ever popular Bridgwater Bolt 10k.

This is a one lap route on quiet country roads and rough tracks. The course profile is totally flat, so if you are after a PB, or looking for a flat and beginner friendly 10k, this is the place to be. Beautiful views of the Quantock Hills and Somerset Levels add to the attraction of this exciting race.

Runners of all abilities (including walkers) are welcome at the event which is now in its fifth year and starts at 10.00am at Trinity Sports & Leisure, where you will have use of the changing rooms, showers, toilets, swimming pool and cafe.

Now in its fourth year the Dorchester “Dash” Triathlon is a novice friendly event but it inspires all those taking part whatever their ability because of the unique route which offers competitors breathtaking views through a landscape with a fascinating and ancient past.

Our brand new 10k event takes runners from our new 1610 fitness centre on Jarman Way on to country roads and rough tracks through Cuttiford’s Door and Chardleigh Green. The course profile is undulating and good for novices and experienced runners alike. Scenic views of the countryside and Blackdown Hills add to the attraction of this event.

Now in its sixth year, the Cary Canter offers runners a tough, multi terrain course with stunning country views.  It has a challenging undulating route taking in breath taking views of Glastonbury Tor, King Alfred’s Tower and Bruton Lodge Hill Fort. Regular participants love this event for its mixture of surfaces and terrain with a few hills included.

The race starts and finishes at Caryford Fitness and Leisure Centre, where you will have use of the changing rooms, showers and toilets. Runners of all abilities (including walkers) are welcome.

Endurance runners from across the South West will be taking part in the event which is now in its fourth year. The race will start at Collett Park and will move on past the town’s famous prison and weave through the streets before escaping onto scenic country lanes.
