Hestercombe Woodland Wander & Doggy Dash 2018
Come and have a go at the Hestercombe Woodland Wander 5k and 2k Fun Run on Sunday 4 March 2018 at 9.30am. No times, no pressure, this event is all about fun and is great for beginners and those running for the first time.

Its also great for dog lovers as this year we are opening this event to your four legged friends who can run alongside you on a lead. There will be medals at the finish line and tasty treats and water for the doggies.
The 5k is perfect for people thinking about entering a 10k run but looking for something smaller to build their confidence . For those that prefer a slower pace, try our 2k fun run or why not walk the route. This is a great event for families and an opportunity to make the most of the peaceful woodland and lake views.
5k Fun Run/Walk
Our 5k route through the beautiful woodland surroundings of Hestercombe is mostly cross country. Some of the hills are a little challenging but all good fun. Its perfect for people thinking about entering a 10k run but looking for something smaller to build their confidence. For those that prefer a slower pace, why not come along and walk the route (bring the dog) - a great opportunity to make the most of the peaceful woodland and lake views.
2k Fun Run/Walk
The 2k Fun Run is brilliant for kids and families and those who want to have fun and have a go! We would advise any children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.

The Cafe at Hestercombe Gardens will be open from 9.00am selling tasty cakes, bacon rolls and hot drinks.

- Registration opens at 8.30am in Bamflyde Hall ready for a 9.30am start

Part of the 1610 Race Series
The Hestercombe Woodland Wander is part of the 1610 Race Series consisting of four 10k races all located across the counties of Somerset and Dorset.
By taking part in the 1610 Race Series you are fundraising for your local 1610 leisure centre, providing sports and leisure facilities for the whole community.
