To apply fill out our application form, take your time, complete all the sections and don’t be shy, we want to know all about you! Share your experience, goals and aspirations with us so we can see what you will bring to the role and also give us some ideas of where we could perhaps support you with your future career.
Once you have completed the application form, email it to our HR Team. Make sure you have stated which role you are applying for and at which of our centres.
We take our time and look at every application we receive. If we like what we see you will be asked to attend an interview which will take place at one of our centres with the recruiting manager.
You will receive an interview invite from our HR Team – they will give you a call and then follow up with an email. Please let us know that you will be attending the interview so that we can ensure everything is prepared.
The process will consist of a panel interview and maybe also a task which could be given to you on the day or you will be asked to prepare for prior to your interview. If we have asked you to bring anything – don’t forget it. Our interviews last approximately an hour to an hour and a half so ensure you allow yourself plenty of time to attend.

At your interview
Try to relax – we want to meet the real you and find out everything we can about you. Please do ask questions during your interview as we appreciate you are trying to find out as much about us too!
If you are successful at interview you will be contacted by the recruiting manager who will discuss a provisional job offer with you and will explain what will happen next.
You will receive an offer letter from our HR Team which will include some forms you will need to complete and return. You will also be asked to come into the centre to complete a DBS application.
Our HR Team will also contact your references, so please ensure that your referees are aware they will be receiving a reference request.
Once all our pre-employment checks are done the recruiting manager will contact you to arrange a start date and welcome you to #Team1610!

Our Reward and Recognition scheme allows us to thank and reward those who have bought our values to life. All staff can nominate and be nominated. All team members at 1610 have the chance to enter the Race Series and there are staff prizes up for grabs for the fastest recorded10k and triathlon times!
If you are not up for taking part in the race series you could always help by marshalling at the events; in return you’ll have a chance to win a marshal prize and also add valuable experience to your CPD!

We are all about getting everyone fit and active and that includes our staff too!
Therefore we offer all our staff a discounted membership for use in all the 1610’s facilities. We also offer a cycle scheme meaning staff can get their hands on a brand new bike and pay it off over 12 months!
As a new employee we will ensure you receive all the training you need to start you on your career journey with us; this will included your induction training, specific training for your role and any relevant compliance training.
As you role develops there is a whole range of training available! Regular 1:1’s with your line manager will formulate a personalised training plan to help you achieve your goals and aspirations.
