As a Senior Duty Manager / Swim Manager (34-40 hours per week), you’ll use your energy to inspire your team of swim instructors and develop the swim programme at Dorchester Sports Centre.

You will:

  • Maximise swimming income through a progressive swimming lesson programme which encourages children and adults to learn to swim and include ‘hard to reach’ groups.
  • Plan and administer a programme of swimming activities including lessons for adults, juniors, community groups, swimming pool timetables and aquatic health and activity.
  • Be responsible for the line management of Swimming Teachers
  • Maintain safe working practices to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all customers, staff, and visitors during a shift through compliance with the Centre’s Normal Operating Procedures (NOP) and Emergency Action Plan (EAP) as required.
  • Support the General Manager in the overall delivery of the contract and running of the centre etc.

Essential

  • Swim Teacher Level 2 and/or 2 Swim England Qualification
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills

Desirable

  • Experience in a manager role / lead swim role
  • Adult and Child Water Activities experience or qualifications to deliver other aquatic activities.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.

Salary: £27,114 per annum (pro rata for part-time hours). There is opportunity to earn extra dependant on amount of swim lessons taught.

Hours: 34-40 hours per week
