1610 is a fast-developing and forward-thinking Charitable Leisure Trust and we love giving everyone a fitter future by championing active living. To ensure our customers have a great and safe experience whilst using the pool we are looking for Lifeguards (Leisure Experience Assistants) for our centres in Bridgwater and Dorchester.

Location: All 1610 pools

Salary: £8.06 - £11.44 per hour

Hours: Zero hours contract

As a Lifeguard (Leisure Experience Assistants) you will maintain our high quality standards while working with users to ensure their needs are met whilst using the facility. This includes providing a high level of customer service whilst completing any of your duties such as lifeguarding, greeting customers, setting up equipment, general administration and any cleaning requirements.

A people person, proactive and helpful

Engage with all our customers to ensure they receive a positive experience and also ensure they adhere to the pool rules.

Alert and calm

Remain fully alert whilst on poolside and should there be an emergency be able to stay calm and act professionally and efficiently.

Have a passion for swimming and can swim well

Of course, to pass your lifeguard qualification you need to pass a swim test but you can also pass on your passion for swimming to our customers.

Willing to Learn

You need to attend monthly lifeguarding training and you will have to re-qualify for your lifeguard qualification every 2 years.

Essential:

  • Good communication skills
  • NPLQ Lifeguard Qualification
  • IT literate
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends or irregular hours.
  • Excellent customer service skills
