As an Assistant General Manager at Dorchester Sports Centre you will inspire and energise the team to hit their personal best in providing our customers with the 1610 experience.

Everyday is different which means there is always a fresh challenge, so you will need to use your initiative and creativity – juggling the day to day challenges of operating the Centre whilst supporting the General Manager.

Your main role and responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the General Manager in the overall delivery of the contract in a safe and effective manner and deputising for the General Manager in their absence.
  • Responsible for the KPI monitoring and preparation of reports to 1610 SLT and client.
  • Ensure that key financial and HR policies and procedures are being followed within the contract and relevant reports are collated and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Oversee general customer satisfaction and ensure any comments / complaints are dealt with promptly and appropriately.
  • Develop a designated area of the business inline with 1610 organisational objectives, encouraging adults and young people to participate in physical activity and health and wellbeing initiatives.

Essential

  • IT literate.
  • First Aid at work.
  • Technical Qualification such as: Fitness, GP referral, Group Exercise, Sports Coach etc.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Management qualification or experience within a leisure setting.
  • Pool Plant Operators qualification.
  • NPLQ qualification.

Desirable

  • NVQ level 3 in leisure or management.
  • Background in leading a business area.
  • Experience of budgets.

The successful candidate will be required to have an enhanced DBS check.

Salary: £28,470 - £29,200 per annum (pro rata for part-time hours).

Hours: 36 - 40 hours per week.
